Scherry Momin

Scherry has been an avid Fashionista since the beginning of time. Well, ok, only since 1985. When she was six, she decided that normal clothes weren’t fun and told her Mother that she would only be wearing tutu’s and dinosaur hats to school. When she was 10, she decided that wallpaper should only consist of shopping bags and magazine clippings and made a huge mess in her room with a tub of Elmer’s glue. During her early teens, she bought electric blue neoprene from a local fabric store and made tube tops cool – and almost also got suspended for breaking the dress code. In her high school AP Chemistry class, she made badass tie-dyed t-shirts which she sold out of her locker. In 2008, she dug through buckets in an Afghan market to find rare raw rubies and ridiculously huge warrior jewelry. More recently, Scherry was part of the founding team for the San Francisco Fashion and Merchant’s Alliance – a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a cohesive and nationally visible fashion scene in San Francisco. She also played a major role in organizing San Francisco Fashion Feud, which is a live Project Runway type competition in collaboration with Scion. Some of Scherry’s current projects include the development of a for-profit corporation dedicated to importing high fashion quality textiles from developing countries where the textile industries consist mainly of women who have limited reproductive and economic freedom. She’s also known to model from time to time, but only when she feels like it.

Blake Townsley

Blake Townsley has had an unhealthy obsession with pop culture since the first time he saw The Simpsons. His college years were spent reading whatever he damn well pleased as long as it didn’t pertain to his studies, and testing the hypothesis that ladies don’t like dancing to James Brown. He is fascinated with pop music’s nadir in the late 90s, and its subsequent renaissance in the late 00s, and has seen every popcorn movie of the past thirty years, excepting the latest rash of Nicholas Sparks garbage. Secretly, Mr. Townsley listens to a shocking amount of music recorded prior to 1980, and loves rock and roll like he loves breathing. He’s looking forward to hearing from everyone, especially if you disagree with him. He can be reached on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/btownsley
